How to Read a Math Book

A math book is different each other book. It has many complex of formula and complex of notation on mathematics. You need take a long time to read a math book. The reason is to understand the meaning of a sentence of text is not easy.
Chan-Ho Suh said, there are two understanding a math text’s kinds. They are to follow, reconstruct the proof and rethink that the theorem is valid or the solution is worked. These facts are absolutely different from what you get from course.
In mathematics, there are three points that not to do. The first, we need don’t to remember too much. Because, mathematic don’t need to memorize but to learn and looking for the problem solving. Second, do not start with the homework problems. Because, the purpose of the assigned problem is we need to read and to understand the section of the textbook at first. Third, do not be afraid to go back. Mathematic theories are related each other. So, if you forget, don’t be afraid to learn again the section of the book.
After, we know what we not to do. We must know what we to do too. First, we need screen the text for an overview so that we can get the framework to fill with details later. Second, we reread with the concentration. In this part, we need to read the text book slowly and carefully. Third, go through each step of each example. You must write the step from the example completely. So, you can understand the concept.  Fourth, fill in any gaps. If you find the difficult concept, you just need reread it. Fifth, think about what you’ve read. Sixth, make it your own. The last, do the homework problems.
